Success in Physics
Like any other class honors physics will require certain actions if I am to succeed. In order to achieve success I will, be prepared, read the required reading, complete assignments to the best of my ability, become a better problem solver, be well organized and ready to learn. Now, all of the things listed above are layers that support one another and eventually will support my sucsess in physics.
Being prepared is probably the most important step in any process, if one isn’t prepared than their is no conceivable way to succeed. That being said I will come to class with every thing necessary such as pencils and my calculator, but also I will be intellectually prepared for class.
After I have read all the relevant information I can on a certain physics subject I’ll most likely have to complete an assignment. First thing I can do in that process is to check the website to verify that I wrote down the assignment correctly. Assignments test one’s understanding of any given material. So, in order to complete my assignments I will have to understand the material which will contribute to my success.
In order to complete my assignments I will have to be able to complete physics problems. The first thing one has to do in solving math/science problems is to understand units, mathematical symbols, and other terms that might be used to present a problem. After understanding a problem all one has to do is devise a strategy, implement the strategy and check.
Finally in order to be successful in physics I will have to have a generic academic groundwork. I must be organized, ready to be assessed at any time, be self sufficient, and communicate with my teacher and my piers if I need help.
Great job this time Blaine! It is well written and organized. There are a few grammatical and spelling mistakes(commas in first paragraph, "peers" in last). You elaborated well on all the points.
ReplyDeleteYour post is good as you write in detail about some aspects of physics success. There are a few aspects missing that should be included as well. One of them has to do with problem-solving and graphing the other one has to do with using the wiki for support. Please include these items and fix the word that Alix mentioned.
